Palm Treo 700p looking legit – Engadget:
… the new Treo 700p, which will supposedly be available from Sprint in April, will have a 312MHz processor, Palm OS 5.4.9, EV-DO, 1.3 megapixel digital camera, a 320 x 320 pixel display, and Bluetooth (they’re not sure whether it’s Bluetooth 1.2 or not).
EVDO with DUN enabled/hacked would be nice…
Palm Treo 800p coming March 15? – Engadget
800p throws down with ?fast is an understatement? EV-DO and features 128MB RAM, a WiFi ?option,? SD expansion, Bluetooth 2.0, an enhanced 320 x 320 display, a 3.2 megapixel camera, external antenna, and is both slimmer and slightly smaller than the current 650 yet still supports the same ol? accessories.

Dude, seriously, VZW is starting to piss me off by disabling OBEX on all non-PDA phones… I didn’t care about this until I got the pink RAZR v3c for Sherry and found out the latest .03 VZW firmware had OBEX disabled. I compared the .02 and .03 images and looks like VZW/Moto ripped out the OBEX code completely in the image. Not a big deal, I will just have to flash the .02 image on her phone, but still, they should stop messing with Bluetooth capabilities on their phones or they will see exodus to GSM providers. Too bad all the GSM providers in the U.S. still sucks…
Verizon gives in, allows DUN from cellphones – Engadget
Verizon Wireless has given in to consumer demand, and will now allow customers to use most compatible cellphones as broadband modems.
…
Verizon is,
however, keeping at least one restriction: DUN via Bluetooth will still be officially
off-limits; the only way to legally connect will be via USB cables.

From Adobe blog: John Nack on Adobe: Adobe on Mactel: an FAQ
No, we don’t plan to update CS2/Studio 8 to be Universal. That means native support will come in a future version, which is some time off.

Finally got a chance to upgarde my wordpress installation here to 2.0.1.
Like I said in my earlier post, Photoshop users shouldn’t upgrade to the Intel-base Macs until Adobe releases a native version. Looks like we now have a year to save up the pennies for the MacBook Pro. 😉
AppleInsider | Adobe may not deliver native Intel Mac support until 2007
Adobe Systems on Wednesday said it has no plans to re-release its current applications as Universal binaries that can run natively on both Intel- and PowerPC-based systems, and instead will focus on delivering native support for Intel Macs along with the next major versions of its software.

Was looking at Bluetooth headsets to go with Sherry’s pink RAZR v3c, and came across this review at Amazon:
Amazon.com: Motorola H500 Bluetooth Headset – Magenta: Cell Phones:
The sound quality is very good for both incoming and outgoing calls.
Huh? Am I missing something? Why would it be different for incoming and outgoing calls?
The ultimate in style. The ultimate in performance. The new RAZR V3c in Pink seamlessly unites fashion and technology to provide the ultimate multimedia experience with a must-have product.
Update: Just ordered one for her at VZW’s site… hehe… Just in time for v-day…
