Verizon website keeps locking up my account, wtf?!

I don’t know why, it’s been a few months now, every time I try to log onto my VZW account I have to reset my password, what gives? Like right now I’m trying to login to pay them money for some Ringback Tones, but I have to reset my password again (after Firefox crashed).

I keep getting the following message:

For your security, your account has been locked after several unsuccessful attempts to log in.

I got Comcast at home finally, been using EVDO to get online since my neighbor moved out end of August. Speed is good, the uplink speed is gonna make a huge difference for Flickr uploads. 🙂

new ipods? total crap!

I was pretty excited following the live blogging this morning, somehow I thought there was a 160GB iPod Touch! Turned out the regular iPods just got bigger hard drives, the iPhones got stripped down to the iTouch, and the only thing truly unique is the new Nano. If the Nike+ kit works on the new Nano I would probably pickup a 8GB one, if anything it will be more portable music for running, also should give me interesting pocket fades on my jeans. 😉

What I really need is a 160GB iPod Touch.

OnMyList now on EC2, and we got widgets!

Yes, that is a widget in my sidebar you’re looking at (well you probably have to scroll up or down depending on when you read this post), actually it’s been there for 2 days but it was pointing to our EC2 beta site, now the thing is for real… You can create yours too…

The move from Hostway to EC2 went very smoothly, we’ve been planning this for quite some time now. Hopefully the performance is much better, it is definitely MUCH easier and cheaper to scale when needed… so now digg/reddit/metafilter/delicious away!

Skype outage

I can’t log onto Skype, did some technorati searches and looks like they are having a major outage. I’ve used Skype for years and this is the first time I can’t log on, which is pretty impressive for a p2p architecture. This sucks coz I depend on Skype for everything form work concalls and group chats to personal IMs…

Major Skype outage in progress: “12-24 hours” for a fix:

At 2PM GMT (9AM ET, 6AM PT) Skype announced that its engineering team had discovered a software issue that is expected to be resolved “within 12 to 24 hours.” The original entry, which has been removed, read: “Due to peer-to-peer network issues there are problems with Skype login. This issue is being investigated. We will give new updates when the issue has been resolved. We apologise for any inconvenience.” Skype has pulled its client downloads from the site until the problem is fixed.

Airport Extreme Base Station now with Gigabit Ethernet – The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)

Definitely nice to have GigE with you have .N in the air… I have no use for one right now though, even my Airport Express is a paperweight on my desk now… I’m keeping it for travel use, great to turn wired hotel rooms into my own wifi office… Though, I do have an iSight which I have absolutely no use for right now… heh…

Airport Extreme Base Station now with Gigabit Ethernet – The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW):

Apple has quietly updated one more product today. Hidden at the end of the iMac press release we find out that the Airport Extreme Base Station now sports Gigabit Ethernet ports (one WAN, 3 for devices) whereas only yesterday they were 100baseT. The Airport Extreme Base Station tech specs haven’t been updated on its own site as of yet, but the picture above was snagged from the Apple Store. They are still priced at $179.

We got onto Under the Radar

This was actually a hookup on Superfuture, I got a PM about possibly featuring OnMyList on Under the Radar. They finally published the article at their blog! 🙂

Under the Radar – Blog:

OnMyList is a site which allows consumers to create lists and share them with their friends. The site interface is simple and addictive. All the basic features are available: you can Digg, send, blog and subscribe via RSS to every post.
