Vita-Mix
Sherry bought a Vita-Mix last week from Costco, and we’ve been using it multiple times a day. Love it! Yesterday I went there to buy another one so I can put it in my Evo and have it in California when my car gets there. We got there and the Vita-Mix demo was gone, I guess they sold out and just packed and left. Sucks!
I hope I’ll find them in one of the many Costco’s in the bay area… 🙂 Getting it directly from Vita-Mix isn’t that much more either, and I’ll be able to get one with a black base. 🙂
Craigslist and RSS
I’ve been monitoring Craigslist for housing in Santa Clara, and today I just noticed they have an RSS feed for my search results (dog-friendly, in Santa Clara, price range, etc)…

Haven’t used my Canon PowerShot S100 for a long time, so while packing up my study I decided to put it on eBay, it’s amazing how much people will pay for old stuff there… I didn’t sell it earlier coz it kindda has sentimental value, but now I’m moving away and really don’t want to ship or move stuff that I don’t use… 🙂 Most of the pics in my snapshots gallery were taken with this little 2.1MP camera! btw, when viewing an individual picture in the gallery site, you can click on the photo properties link (the icon with the question mark) to check out the EXIF info.

Again the auction pics were some pretty nice product photography taken with my Alien Bees studio equipment. 😉 Speaking of photography, I was checking out OMP and ModelMayhem today and boy, there are some hot girls in California!! Niiiiiice!!
moving on
I gave my resignation at SigmaTel today. I will be joining Atheros Communications in three weeks. So I will be moving to the bay area.
Sherry will stay in Austin to finish up her masters and then move to SF next summer. She will definitely be accumulating quite a few frequent flyer miles until then. 🙂

Monster
Monster works pretty well, I must say. I updated my resume and made it active just for kicks ( 😉 ), after a week or so, I get more than 10 inquiries per day. I had to go in to disable my profile.
Synergy
When your execs start talking about “synergy” (or any other word in the Bullshit Bingo game), instead of actual profits in earning reports, it gets scary… and now a few mid to 1st line managers are talking about “synergy” for their ‘lil pet project… LOL…
