While I don’t read Japanese, from email and PM exchanges with LW and a superfuture member, Loopwheeler stores in Japan finally re-stocked their LW09 hoodies. I have a small in black reserved. But I found out some new information from Loopwheeler over email, there is the LW81, I think that’s what we refer to as the “slim-fit” version:
<LOOPWHEELER original>
LW 09 regular type
Thickness of cloth:LW Basic
Zipper: Single, YKK
size (cm): XS / S / M / L / XL
Chest-width : 52.0 / 54.0 / 56.0 / 58.0 / 60.0
Body-Length : 59.0 / 61.0 / 65.0 / 69.0 / 73.0
(back center)
From neck point to sleeve end : 78.0 / 79.5 / 82.5 / 85.5 / 88.5<LOOPWHEELER original>
LW 81 CHIBI(narrow width and short length type)
Thickness of cloth: LW Light
Zipper: Double, YKK
size(cm): S / M / L
Chest-width : 50.0 / 54.0 / 60.0
Body-Length : 60.0 / 63.0 / 66.0
(back center)
From neck point to sleeve end : 79.5 / 82.5 / 87.0
I think I actually want a LW81 instead because it has a double zipper, and it’s slimmer and shorter. I am waiting for LW to get back to me to see if they got the LW81 in stock, if not, I will probably pickup the LW09 anyway… I’ve wanted it for a couple of months now…

Rakuten is a great site and if I don’t see the shit I need in the U.S. shops, or if none of them got the size I need, I usually just order directly from a Rakuten store. (and if none of the Rakuten stores that ship to U.S. got the shit I want, it becomes a problem and I would have to find a forum member doing pickup service in Japan, or use celga, juno, or spe)
Anyway, when you create an account at Rakuten they automatically subscribe you to their mailing list. There might’ve been an option to opt-out during registration but since I don’t read Japanese I didn’t want to risk checking off checkboxes I don’t understand what they were for. I just got another email and at the bottom there was a link to unsubscribe:
Click on that link will bring you to a page with 2 links, it looks like this:
Click on the second link, it will then bring you to a page with a bunch of checkboxes, don’t check or uncheck any of them, just click on the submit button at the bottom. This should unsubscribe you to their newsletters. 🙂

Rob Galbraith has posted the whitepaper on the new Canon EOS 1DM3. It is quite an amazing camera, not full frame, 1.3x crop factor, but 10MP, 10fps, ISO 6400, that is simply amazing! Nothing says it better than my good friend, gifted photographer, and Nikon shooter, Ming Thein on IM:
Damn it! Now I think I am gonna pick up one of these… But I still want full frame, so maybe their 5D follow-on?
I haven’t read the entire whitepaper, but what caught my attention was LIVE VIEW MODE, with dSLRs, traditionally, you look at the viewfinder to shoot as the sensor is blocked by the mirror. Those people who did not come from the 35mm SLR world often fail to understand why as their point-and-shoot cameras could see what they were shooting in the LCD. Canon introduced live view mode in the 1DM3, it can zoom in 5x or 10x to make sure your focus is right, this will be extremely useful for macro photography. Also, since the VFs are never really 100%, I assume using live view mode I will actually be able to see what exactly will be in the frame vs like 98 or 99% of what would be in it in as displayed in the VF. I must say though, I am pretty good in guessing what is gonna be in the frame, I am almost at 20k frames with my 20D.
There is also REMOTE LIVE VIEW MODE, which is pretty much the same as live vide mode, but you connect the 1DM3 to a computer with a USB cable and do all that on a computer screen instead of the LCD screen in the back of the camera, that could be pretty useful as well for studio and macro photography.

600 horsepower Corvette to arrive in 2009 | Leftlane – Car News For Enthusiasts
A limited-edition Corvette producing somewhere around 600 horsepower will arrive in summer 2009 as a 2010 model, GM Vice Chairman Bob Lutz said in a new interview. “There is a distinct appetite for something beyond the Z06 in performance, beyond the Z06 in exclusivity and beyond the Z06 in price,” Lutz told Automotive News. GM has long been rumored to be working on a more powerful Corvette project known as Blue Devil, Sting Ray, Z07, or SS. Back in May, GM’s head of performance cars Tom Wallace confirmed the car was under development. Lutz’ statement is the first confirmation of a timeline for the new Vette’s introduction. At the Detroit auto show, he said GM would produce an answer to the 600-horsepower 2008 Dodge Viper SRT10. GM would “not take that lying down,” he said. Lutz said Corvette has “taken on the character of a brand” and can support several models. The current top-of-the-line Corvette is the 505 horsepower Z06, which rockets to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds. Chevrolet produces 3,000 Z06s annually. The new model would be even lower volume.

happy president’s day…
Finally subscribed to another superfuture member blog, miznation, good shit… I love this:
i love going to vintage clothing stores and looking at the wear on jeans and other types of clothing. you can imagine someone young like us wearing these jeans a long time ago, having the same feelings of love, excitement, dissapointment, ambition, etc. the original wearer of the jeans are probably old now but their jeans are like a snapshot?as good as any old polaroid?of how things were, how beautiful youth is, how fleeting.

Just noticed if you view my blog with Internet Exploer there is a huge empty space before the first post, this is a known problem and I think to prevent it I need to specify smaller width for the images, but f IE, use Firefox, Safari, Flock, Opera, or anything non-IE, they all work fine.

This is VERY interesting!! Like I said in my previous posts, soaking unsanforized raw denim is a royal pain, but not all jeans are available in one-wash, so BiG now would do the soaking for you free of charge! (OXS and chainstitching for free, Self Edge gotta catch up! it has taken them a while to get that effing Union Special machine setup for some sweet chainstitch action!)
Blue In Green will now be offering a One Wash Service (OXS) for any jean we carry free of charge. The BiG OXS gets the maximum shrinkage from the jean down to the tagged size.
