2006 Lexus IS
Just checked out the new Lexus IS (Lexus official site, video), I think it looks nice! 18″ rims and RWD. They almost make it right this time. A couple of problems:
- you can’t get a manual gearbox with the AWD model
- the 6spd paddle shifter is just a slushy with paddles, it still has a torque converter
- Looks like they won’t offer a real manual gearbox for the bigger 3.5L V6 model
- It’s not clear if they will continue to offer limited-slip differential as an option
Still, most buyers of these cars probably would care less about these things. If you’re in the market for an BMW E90 with Steptronic transmission, I would give the new Lexus IS a very hard look!! I hope they put out an IS 350 with the 3.5L engine, LSD, and a 6-speed close-ratio manual gearbox.

london stands – a photoset on Flickr: Cool, gonna get some T-shirts. Damn terrorists messed up a few tube lines, but didn’t stop us from going to Central London these 2 days. The Bowes Park WAGN station is only 2 minutes away from Sherry’s house. Takes less than 10 minutes to get to Finsbury Park, where we can transfer to the Victoria Line.
Did some shopping at H&M and Esprit myself, stuff so damn cheap, unbelievable. Sherry got another bag at the Louis Vuitton shop on New Bond Street. It was a Monogram Panda Pochette, tax free of course, pretty cool stuff… Last night we went to The Producer, it was okay.
We finally made it to the Buckingham Palace today, and we saw the QUEEN!! We saw her in a Rolls Royce, very very cool! 🙂
Londoners resumed lives as usual shortly after the attack.

Update: now it looks like a terrorist attack, 3 double-decker buses exploded so far, explosions happened at a few different Underground locations… BBC site is crawling, reminds me too much of 9/11; thought it was an accident at first, more and more happened and it became clear that they were no coincidence…

Jesus, iPods are not even that expensive anymore. I haven’t even opened the white cans that came with my iPod. LOL… But might be wise to get the ER-6 or the Shure’s instead of the white ER-6i’s. 🙂
