Happy birthday Fee-Fee!

Today’s my dog Fee-Fee’s 4th birthday! Again we’re celebrating his birthday without his mommy… He didn’t like the groovy dog birthday cake last year (but he loved it the year before). I guess I’ll just bring him there and let him pick a toy and some treats this afternoon. ๐Ÿ™‚

I finally did this to my Evo MR today, way better, now I can actually read the boost gauge while driving, not just when I’m in the front straightaway. ๐Ÿ™‚ The writeup is dead-on btw, only took me about 15 minutes to complete. I should’ve done this as soon as I got the car, but I guess I’ve been lazy with this… I did do the more important stuff like changing oil every 3k miles, brake fluids, etc etc…

Apple really, really moving to Intel chips?

Apple really, really moving to Intel chips?

A lot of talk about Apple moving from PowerPC to Intel, I really can care less of what processor Macs use as long as it runs OS X. As John Shen once said in 18-747 (formerly entitled Superscalar Processor Design), RISC and CISC really don’t matter right now; they really aren’t much different in the micro-architectural level.

However, I’d much prefer if Apple adopts AMD instead of Intel. Probably coz I spent 3 years of my life at Newisys to work on a cache coherency (HyperTransport) router ASIC for the Opeteron. ๐Ÿ™‚

California Speedway crash

2 died at California Speedway track event in Carrera GT

more discussion at Pelican Part’s forums

This is everywhere on the net tonight, very sad, RIP Ben and Friend. ๐Ÿ™

Update: Found this on Toadfly

Ferrari Owners Club event.

No corner workers. [There might’ve been 2 of them for the entire track]

No flaggers.

Organizers–AMAZINGLY–changed pit out so it merget at the end of the main high-speed straight, instead of a long blend line that takes you all the way around to the turn into the infield.

Another car pulled out of pits, at much lower speed, in front of him. He swerved, and hit wall at 150 mph./blockquote>

I wonder if these apply to blog entries too… Sometimes I just put “foo” in the subject line coz it’s hard to think of an appropriate one… I used to use no caps but I don’t do that as often now.

I do hate people who add addresses to the CC field, don’t they realize I do know them and there was a good reason why I didn’t include them in the first place. I also have an extra header in all of my personal email messages that looks like this:

But most people don’t know shit about hidden headers and would care less about quoting or forwarding my mails without my permission.
