i read that this morning too… i PERSONALLY think my everest experience would be lesser WITHOUT my personal soundtrack. of course that would mean having the good fortune of having the perfect song playing (which is a hard thing to accomplish) at the perfect time. i find i spend a lot of my day hitting next. though i suppose if i EVER climbed everest, i’d make a playlist. well several. but one specifically for final ascent. but playlists would be necessary because i don’t think it’s a good use of my hands to be hitting next on my pod when i’m scaling a sheet of ice a mile or whatever straight up! unless i had one of those burton jackets with the ipod controls integrated into the sleeve!
