So I ordered a few books for work, they came in 3 different shipments, and one of them (the shipment that contained Head First Design Pattern and XSLT and XPath On The Edge, Unlimited Edition) apparently got lost. It was sent via USPS and tracking info indicates that it was delivered last Thursday at my office, but nobody at my office has seen the package.
So I contacted Amazon with their online contact form and got a reply in a couple of hours:
Subject: Your Amazon.com Order (#xxxxxxxxx)
From: “Amazon.com Customer Service”
I am sorry that you have not received this order; it appears the package may be lost. Please accept our sincere apologies for this inconvenience.
I have placed a new order for the items. There will be no charge for this replacement. Here are the details of the new order……
Pretty good! I should really join Amazon Prime so my free-shipping items will be delivered via Fedex instead of USPS, they’re much more reliable when shipping to a business address.
